Hisham provides design support across the studio’s residential, community housing and civic projects. His international experience while studying multi-generational living in Japan is evident through his approach to mixed-typology housing developments at the intersection of design, culture and tradition inspires his current work.
He applies holistic thinking to leverage design outcomes that focus on integrated sustainability approaches that responds to and respects that natural environment.
He has a keen eye for detail and is intrigued in unravelling what makes good design and how it can enrich everyday life.

Current Areas of Research / Teaching:
– Undertaking research in sustainability and environment with the University of South Australia.
– Researching and preparing an exhibition that explores the idea of inhabitation and how space can be reinterpreted and redesigned to physically move and interact with our bodies.
