As a leading Community Housing Provider, Unity Housing is very active delivering new housing developments in partnership with the South Australian Hosing Authority (SAHA). One of their largest projects is the former Brownlow Site, located at the Adelaide metropolitan beachside suburb of Henley Beach South.
A few years ago, SAHA identified that the current housing stock had reached the end of its life and was no longer meeting the needs of its residents. In collaboration with Unity Housing, a new vision has been developed to provide an increased number of houses for community residents and for sale to the market.
City Collective has been working with both Unity Housing and the SAHA to turn this vision into reality and have prepared a design solution that responds to the environmental aspects of the site and provides improved community open space, enhanced streetscape connections and high-quality housing for future residents.
City Collective’s holistic approach to Urban Design, Architecture and Planning has been instrumental to build consensus and support stakeholders and community throughout the project.
