Third Street, T Line, Light Rail Corridor Urban Design Framework
- Detailed Site Analysis was undertaken to determine that despite being transit rich precinct there is a lack of intermodal connectivity.
- The Urban Design Framework addressed this lack of intermodal connectivity and demonstrated ways to improved connectivity as well as identified building development sites that can delivery improved accessibility
- Stations located within the corridor reconsidered to provide a greater transit balance within the road right of way.
- Separate directional stations replaced with combined stations which also focused on connecting pedestrian access east and west within the precinct.
This project undertook an Urban Design Framework analysis surrounding the Third Street T Line Light Rail Corridor in the Dogpatch precinct of San Francisco.
The project demonstrated urban regeneration opportunities along the corridor and interrelationship between current and required plan use zoning.
