- Integration with and access for local community to encourage involvement in sports, physical activity and healthy lifestyles
- Quality design and performance outcomes to meet AFL standards
- Culture sensitively through stakeholder engagement and recognition of indigenous communities specific requirements
- Holistic design and functionality with the incorporation of educational and training programs
The existing facilities at TIO Stadium were expanded as part of this development to provide dedicated focus to the training of emerging talent within the Northern Territory. Connection with the wider community and ability to host more AFL games were the key drivers for the project which highlighted a successful collaboration of the design team with client, stakeholders and end users. The striking design and quality performance outcomes provide a nurturing and professional environment for young athletes to achieve great results.
