Key Features

  • Proposed implementation with 4 new tramline extensions to existing retail and residential precincts with routes along established main streets.
  • An east-west connector tram is proposed to service the airport along Henley Beach Road and Military Road to the Henley Square and also to extend east along Fullarton Road and The Parade to the eastern suburbs of Norwood and Magill.
  • This new tram line, now referred to as the Henley Square / Airport / City / Norwood Line offers an efficient connection between two of Adelaide’s most popular suburban destinations, Henley Square and The Parade, Norwood and links them with the city centre.

Taking reference from the current State Governments Integrated Transport Strategy, this transit study proposes additional network options for the greatest coverage and connection of Adelaide’s existing community precincts.

By proposing a staged development the city centre can be prioritised for these transit improvements and value capture opportunities, with the continuation into future stages of the implementation strategy.
